Ahh... Good Times... I just collected these when I was little without really playing them, but it wasn't until I played the Trading Card Game on the Gameboy Color. That I finally started to get the total hang of it. Here's some videos. otherwise, you can try downloading Visual Boy Advanceand I have attached the Game for the Gameboy Color for you to try it out. I still have my deck, I can take on anyone at anytime. hit me up, also if you still have any questions regarding the game or emulation. Attachments:

I wonder so too, I hadn't found any new players, so I was actually going to sell them on Craig's List, but I might keep them for just a little while longer now... he he.

I used to collect Pokemon cards too but I stopped when I got into Yu-Gi-Oh. I was also told that all of the old cards I have are no longer legal for use in tournaments because they were made by a different company.
If I ever manage to get back into the Pokemon TCG I would certainly play it with you guys.

We would have to play with either all new or all old.

Everyone here just so happens to be in luck, as I know much about the pokemon tcg I would gladly help anyone who wants to learn how to play pokemon cards again I heard that soon the official pokemon tcg website is going to have a thing that teaches how to play pokemon cards, which I think would be very useful, becuase I'm not good at remembering to explain everything Anyways, if you guys ever want to meet up sometime to go shopping for pokemon cards, just let me know. I have this Thursday and Saturday off, but I'm not available after 4pm on Satudray, becuase I have to be somewhere... Like I was saying, I'd be glad to help any and all of you with making decks. I have plenty of energies that I can give you guys, but I must admit that I am short on electric, metal, and darkness energies... :\ I also know plenty about the modified format(the format haveing to do with newer cards and tournaments), and which cards are good. I'd be glad to meet you in real life, if anyone wants to hang out and learn how to play the tcg again. I get tired of playing with my brother. He's too slow and doesn't even try :\ PS This is the fisrt thread I found in this forum, and the reason why I joined. I also play other games, but the pokemon tcg has been my main interest lately. I'll post more tomorow. I also apologize if I make any mistakes in the forum. Please forgive me if I do, I am new here.

awesome :3 my friends and i usually play with theme decks haha, so it should be interesting playing the normal way... i have a psychic deck and a fire/fighter deck. i'm rather impartial to fire/fighter, but i end up losing a lot because i draw/discard too much and don't realize until it's too late!

So, you guys just buy theme decks from the store that are already put together and you just use those? That's a good way to start out, but it's terrible if you plan on entering a tournament :P I can help you with that problem that you have with your deck :)
By the way, just some information if anyone is interested:
The next pokemon card prerelease is going to be for Black and White, and it's going to be in El Paso. As far as I know, there are no pokemon card tournaments in Las Cruces, nor prereleases. I tried to attend the last prerelease, but the busses to El Paso don't run on Saturdays or Sundays :P
Anyways, when I'm out later today, I'm going to be buying some more pokemon cards. If you guys want me to post information about which cards and sets are good and bad, just let me know, and I can post the info in this thread. But, there are some techniques that are a lot easier to learn if you see them for yourself :P
A good place to start is http//:pokebeach.com/ The card sets are on the left-hand side.
The current tournament format ranges from Legends Awakened and anything released after that.

well we put them together ourselves. we just play each other for fun, so when we play them, we don't apply weakness or resistance. my friends had pretty much all of the old cards, because like, everyone used to collect when we were kids, so we decided to start playing. i don't really want to invest a lot of money into them, after having done that when i was like, 10; i just like playing friends with what we have.
